After several years of no in-person events, WeNeedaVacation was thrilled to have the opportunity to meet with homeowners at our first annual Cape & Islands Vacation Rental Conference on October 7th

It was a full house!

The conference kicked off with a continental breakfast and a warm welcome from Director of Client Services, Samantha Williams. Following was COO Jim Reese’s overview of the 2023 rental season that included insights into vacationer demand, pricing, the handling of additional fees, the importance of the guest experience, and updates to Booking Management. (See our 2023 Annual Fall Report.)

Jennie Sparrow, Senior Marketing Manager, shared some of WeNeedaVacation’s marketing strategies, including digital ads, emails to our list 115k vacationers, the use of AI in marketing efforts, a look ahead to incorporating CTV (Connected TV) ads, and our Enhanced Exposure Packages, a paid opportunity for homeowners to feature their rentals on our social media channels (Facebook, 21.2k followers, and Instagram, 25.3k followers.)

Presentations were followed by a special message and further words on the industry by owners Joan and Jeff Talmadge and culminated in a Q&A session.

The conference ended with the opportunity for homeowners to chat with one another and vendors. Everyone walked away with tote bags containing the WeNeedaVacation Pricing Guide, notebooks, and other fantastic swag.

This event was such a success that we are already planning next year’s Cape & Islands Vacation Rental Conference—we look forward to seeing everyone there!
